New features
Preserve DataField SmartPart markers
We now support the preservation of content control markers for DataField SmartParts within the Template Designer. This enhancement allows for further processing of DOCX documents after generation, including manual population before converting to PDF for signature workflows.
New DocFusion Statistics Engine
The new DocFusion Stats Engine introduces a unified statistics database, revamped APIs, and self-service UIs to track document generation and error statistics. Notable features include:
- Customisable organisational structure: Configure a multi-level hierarchy (e.g., countries, cost centres, divisions) for segmenting statistics.
- Stats aggregation: Statistics are rolled up by organisational structure nodes, enabling tailored insights.
- New APIs and tools: Available through the DataBroker API controller, with tools for searching statistics, error reports, and managing organisational structures.
- Workbench integration: Includes a new organisational structure editor and a statistics search interface.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Moving forward, all statistics will be recorded in the new statistics database. For cloud customers, historical data from the start of 2024 will be migrated to the new database under the “Default” organisational structure node. Self-hosted customers will still have access to the old statistics database for querying; however, you will need to update your integrations and reports to ensure compatibility with the new statistics database.
We also offer a migration tool for those who wish to transfer historical data to the new database. Please contact us for assistance with the migration process.
Enhancements
Major Enterprise Batch Engine enhancements
Significant enhancements have been made to the stability and performance of the Batch Engine. These improvements include an upgraded queuing system, optimised resource utilisation, and improved database performance, particularly under heavy workloads. Additionally, enhanced telemetry and reporting capabilities have been integrated with the new DocFusion Statistics Engine.
Batch generation Routing on Elastic Generation
The Elastic Generation Engine now detects batch transactions and directs them to dedicated batch pools. This enhancement improves scalability by isolating batch workloads during peak periods, ensuring smoother and more efficient operations.
